Simpson Capital’s portfolio management service is appropriate for all types of investors large or small, young or old, rich or not so rich and individuals or institutions. This universality is based on the philosophy Simpson Capital Management (SCM) uses to treat your portfolio as a whole rather than bundling unrelated ideas and techniques. For more on how this approach is right for you, visit our Investment Philosophy and Modern Portfolio Theory pages.
Below are several features and benefits which distinguish Simpson Capital.
- Fee Only Advice
SCM is a fee-only advisor. SCM does not accept commissions or any compensation based on product sales and does not offer you proprietary products. Fee-only advisors help reduce conflicts of interest by the way we earn our fee and what we recommend. Fees are based on your month-end account balances and billed quarterly at a fixed rate for the prior three months. SCM and your interests are aligned– SCM is rowing in the same direction with you because SCM’s fee only rises when your account grows.
- Highest Professional Standard
SCM maintains a fiduciary responsibility to you. This responsibility means SCM provides investment advice while putting your interests ahead of our own. SCM takes reasonable care to avoid misleading you and provides full and fair disclosure of all material facts to clients and prospective clients. To learn more about this fiduciary duty, visit our Fiduciary Responsibility Forum blog.
- Personal Objectives Based Process
SCM‘s portfolios are focused on meeting your personal objectives for the long-term. These objectives include desired return types (growth or current income), liquidity and risk tolerance. SCM designs your portfolio to perform in all economic environment types, like a boat built to withstand all conditions.
In developing customized Account Investment Guidelines, your evolving short- and long-term objectives are factored with the expected risk and return profile of your holdings. SCM uses its proprietary Portfolio Strategies to integrate your objectives with capital market expectations. Risk is controlled by monitoring equity concentration, industrial sector allocation, global exposure and market capitalization.
- Comprehensive Research
SCM forms an opinion about the future investment environment through analysis of economic indicators and forecasts. The areas of study include global economics, domestic industrial sector analysis and individual security selection. Visit our SCM Capital Market Journal for our current look on the economic environment. Individual issue selection is based on issuer management quality and market leadership in growing sectors of the economy. Visit our Research page to see how our attention to detail works for you.
